2 Pi adjustments? [message #46389] Tue, 22 February 2005 23:36 Go to next message

I've had my 2 pi for about a month now and am ready to try some adjustments to suit my preferences.

I currently have a standard, non-tower build with R11 on three sides.

I've pulled the speakers away from the wall (which made a huge difference).

My audio vocabulary is not the best, but here's what I'd like to accomplish -- What I would like to change is the way *some* female vocals can occassionally irritate at louder listening levels. At the same time, I'd like more present highs with greater clarity. Lastly, anything that will add to the sense of "hollowness", depth and increased decay.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Have you considered the new soft dome tweeter?

Wayne, do you think that this upgrade would address, to some extent, all three areas of quality in the original post?

1) take edge off female vocals at louder levels
2) more present highs with greater clarity
3) soundstage

thanks!

I think so, yes. Read through that announcement post in my last reply to you. I know it's a long one, but it mentions the very same things you've brought up here.

Give me a call tomorrow or send an E-Mail. The upgrade isn't in the shopping cart, but we have them in stock and can take your order by phone.
