I was wondering if anyone has tried bypassing the analog stage and mute circuit in their CD player or dac?

Tried it in an old Rotel 865bx and very nice improvement. (It does come standard with blackgate caps throughout.)

Take care.

That's a very common mod. Take the output straight off the DAC chip.

Thanks realone. I usually frequent other forums and it is like they never heard of it. Glad things are more advanced here.

Thanks again.
