I recently picked up 2 peavey LH-1 enclosures and they are the suspended wedge style with the driver facing the rear wall of the cabinet.
What is this style called and where can I find information on the pros/cons of this design.

Thanks

Are you sure your speakers aren't FH-1's? Do they look sort of like Klipsch LaScala's?

If so, they're a 60Hz midbass horn. Horns generate more output than direct radiators over a narrow frequency range. The FH-1 has sensitivity of about 104dB/W/M and can generate maximum output of 125dB/M from 60Hz to 400Hz or so.

If they are FH-1's, how you orient them will also affect the response. I have turned mine on their sides and found better bottom end, but poorer mids. They truly operate best run from 80hz to around 250hz, above and below that is usually affected by the room and driver used.
