I'd guess that one plus to the three-way is moving the crossover points away from the vital mid-range where the ear is most sensitive to distortions...blah, blah, blah...! However I can't for the life of me hear any problems with my Theater 4's crossed smack dab at 1600hz.

Hot Dog!

Beautiful, if only they wouldn't totally fill up my listening room I'd have to have a pair!

I'm hoping (okay, praying) to have similar beasts, but not corner-horn, in my room. They'll be TAD 1602/JBL2123/TAD 2001 (on maple Martinelli horns).

The main cabs are going to be MDF/Ply in the first round. (This is a proof-of-concept flying leap for me!) Bill's got some killer bubinga pommelle waiting in the wings for round two!

Does this look kinda familiar? ;-)

My hope is that limiting the 15" to 250hz will yield a faster cleaner mid, but 250hz is right in the vital midrange, so integration is key, and likely to be a bear!

No worries. I'm having the final fitting for my flak jacket this afternoon!

I'm plannin' on havin' fun next week, (hernia-inducing activities not-withstanding!). Anybody who wants to fight will have to look elsewhere.

Thanks, Wayne!

I have two 2123's so I am interested in having your plan.
