Hi Wayne, was wondering if you have plans for a sensible sized box using the new model Eminence Delta 15, plan to use with a ksn 1188/1196 or ksn 1142/1151 for PA work

TIA AG

I saw that Eminence has a new "deluxe" version of the Delta 15, with similar, but slightly different specs. It still has Delta in the name. Does this look like it might be good for SET amps? Would it be an upgrade in a Theatre 4?

Eminence has retained the existing Delta and Delta Pro series, but has added a new line that uses neodymium magnets. This was done as a weight saving measure, as the same strength motor can be made with a small magnet made of noodymium alloy. I haven't looked at these new "Deltalite" devices more than a passing glance, but I strongly suspect Eminence has designed the speakers to retrofit existing cabinet designs. In other words, it's probably a direct replacement, just lighter.

I don't have any large-format speaker designs that use piezo tweeters, but you can use the new Delta 15 in the existing Theater Series four π and seven π cabinets and with the same crossover and tweeter as shown in the existing plans.
