Hi Wayne, I have been enjoying my 2Pi's for about 3 weeks now. Great sound and detail. I will upgrade to the Paramours once they arrive. My question is why do you have to install a 20 watt resistor? What will this improve? Also, how do you install it? Do you insert the leads like you insert bare wires and just tighten it? Thanks for any info. Best Regards, Edwin
Edwin, I believe that is a "20 ohm" resistor, and it is used to stabalize the impeadance when used with a low powered tube amp that is sensitive to load impeadance. Also, that 20 ohms will not drain enough wattage to effect your amps output. I hope I gave you the right skinny! Capt Ron

That's right, Ron.
The one π and two π speakers grow more capacitive at very high frequencies because they use a piezoelectric tweeter. If the capacitive load is a problem for your amp, then a 20 ohm resistor can be installed across the speaker terminals. Most amps don't need it, but it doesn't hurt to add either.
