Hi wayne and everybody else I have some Emilar coaxial loudspeakers ELK12D, it is a 12" with a compression driver. The sensitivity of the compression driver is 102dB and 95 dB for the 12". I would like to build a crossover for these. Can you give me some advice.

Naturally, you'll need 7dB attenuation for the tweeter. Look at the response curve of the tweeter to know if you'll need top octave compensation, and how much.
I dont have any response curve of the tweeter, but I used a 900Hz filter I had around with a L-pad, just to test how it sounded and I think i will need top octave compensation. I think a crossover freq. of about 1.6-2kHz should be fine for this driver. I have never designed a crossover before and would be very grateful if you had som drawings of a crossover to use with this driver. The impedance of the driver is 8 ohm
