Anybody know anything about this driver?

Here's the Tent sale line


"M252-8B2 S/M, M222-8B2-2 PER CARTON; 12", 300W Woofer 171 50.00 "

does that mean its "similar" to the M222?

MSRP for the M222 is $300
"JBL-M222-8 12" JBL 350 Watt 8 Ohm Sub Speaker $300.00 "

The only thing I don't know is whether what they are selling is the 252 or the 222. Either way, $50 is a deal.

I'm guessing that $50 is for one right? not a carton of 2?

sound like sealed box woofers - might be real nice -certainly good price if you have an application

I think (but not positive) these are musicical instrument
speakers. I'd swear I'd seen one of those scanned brochures
for some cabinet or another that used them. I really wish JBL
would include literature for everything they're selling.
As for the quantity, I'm betting its two for $50. Just
call them.

Not sure if I'm gonna make a guitar cab for my dad with em or use them in some 4 Pi's

Hi dbeardsl,

Did you call and find out if these are M222's or M252's?
(12"s or 15"s?)
And is the $50 for one box of two drivers or is it $100
for 2 drivers?

I didn't call.

I paid $100

I figure.
Worst case: 2 M222s for my $100. which is still a deal.
Best Case: 4 - M252s for my $100. which would be a cool suprise.

Most likely I'll get 2 M252's cause thats the part number I ordered. I'm sure the "S/M M222" means 'similar to M222'

anyway, I'll let ya know. How long should I expect them to take?
