not wanting to hassle with mail ordering 12 black pan head 10-32 screws...and there was that perforated steel bottom cover from who knows what. inserted all the screws though the holes, and painted all 12 silver heads in about 0.73 seconds. Only using steel until I can find some brass 10-32 pan heads locally.

regarding 1/4-20 size fasteners recently mentioned...t-nuts for them require a larger pilot hole...less meat around the tnut...jbl uses 8 size 10-32's for woofer mounting...6 of those should suffice for holding the smaller horn flares like the H-290 as long as an appropriate pan head or washer is used. The screws I used were 1.25" long #8's I think... They had unusually large heads on them, something like 1/4" or 3/8" in diameter. They worked fine.
