Hi,

I'm trying to build a enclosure for an almost 10" driver with hard suspension. I'm a complete novice so mabey it's complete impossible I'm trying to do. I thought the driver was most suited for a closed encloure or like someone suggested a open baffle.

specs from the driver :

Almost 10"
Qts = 0.9
vas = 85 liter (Not complete sure of this spec....)
Fres = 62 hz

If I run this in pi-align I get :

3.1 c.f enclosure
26"*17"*11" enclosure
Port dimensions (cilinder) = length .87" diameter 1.66"

My question, is this possible? What can I expect from the bass?

Thanks for your reply,

AJ.

I think there's a mistake in the speaker parameters you described. It would be rare to find a motor having Qes of 9.99, and you wouldn't want to use it if you found one.

It is a old full range driver. I know these spec's are not normal, but I (think) they're pretty accurate. If I really want to use the speaker, what would be the best enclosure?

Thanks for your reply,

AJ.

p.s : The qes must be 0.99 isstead of 9.99 of course....

Has it got a paper edge.

Open backed cabinet suitable for paper surround drivers [only for guitar]

Infinite Baffle also might be okay if it's a fullrange
