Just checking one point. The output of the dual 2226J at 100db is the same as the 2227H. So the tweeter compensation choice should be at 10 db same as for the pro 4J with 16 ohm resistors and a 0.47 ca.? Would I still what an l-pad? Thanks tdc

The compensation circuit's filter Q - amount of peaking - has been precisely set to provide flat response for the first few octaves and then rise into the top octave, when using the values listed on the charts. I'm sure you've seen how this works, but if not, I encourage you to view the crossover document on the π speakers website for a complete explanation of compensation circuits, filter Q and peaking.

Thanks again. Just one more question. How do you get paid for all this work and help provided to folks. I understand how JBL and Parts Express make money and even Madisound charges a bit for x-over design. You have invested hundreds or thousands of hours into development and support and it's obviously the time of a highly educated person. Can I sent you a bottle of California wine or something. TDC

Thanks, but it isn't necessary. Your kind words are payment enough.
