Hi Folks,

These are about gone (someone bought a bunch of the 2226J boxes, all gone).
Anyway, before spending money, I was looking for opinions on either
or both of the components that are included in the 3677s's.
Also, has anyone dug up any data sheets for either the horn,
driver, or bass motor?
Thx, Chris

Hello I have a pair. The components are the 2418 compression driver with a 2373 horn and M115-8 woofers. The compression drivers sound quite nice and are used in the new EON speakers. They are rugidized 2416's with ferro fluid cooling but the specs are different from the 2416. 2416 -10@ 20K 2418 -10@ 18k. I have both running in my system now one in the left the other in the right and you cannot tell them apart. The woofers are stamped frame with no T/S paramaters and no recone kits. They are used in the 3622 cinema boxes and the new Sound Factor speakers. You can download the spec sheets on the systems to get an idea of what they will do. Without the t/s you in the dark though. I also got the 4638 with the 2035 woofers and they are very nice. If you run them against the 2226 in Win ISD they are very similar. There are NO spec sheets on any of these drivers because they are not sold as seperates so the best you can do is the information from the system sheets.

Have Fun

here's the JBL T/S specs for most of their line [message #34885 is a reply to message #34869] Fri, 25 January 2002 13:55 Go to previous message
