You guys remember the PSD3003? Eminence discontinued it early in 2003 but said they were working on a replacement. And what about the B12 low-distortion subwoofer? It's taking a while on that one too. So I'm gonna write 'em today and see what's up.

I'm not complainin', I'm just sayin'...

PSD3003 replacement is still being worked on, with something hopefully ready to rollout in 6-9 months.

B12 is waiting on larger rings from a new vendor, hope to have some within the month. Then those will need to be incorporated into a second prototype B12.

that will be cool,as theres heaps of 12" woofers out there with similar specs..

the low distortion just might snag alot of people !!!

The peerless units with shorting rings are well regarded

cheers

Hi Mike,

I saw photos of those Peerless units, and I thought the magnet was kind of small. I probably should have given them more than a casual superficial inspection. Do you know if the shorting ring is able to reduce distortion below 100Hz? Have you seen distortion specs? I may have overlooked a very good woofer, and if you know any more information, please do tell. Maybe tomorrow I'll look into them more; Thanks for reminding me about them and bringing them to my attention.

Wayne
