Hi guys,

I'm having a problem restringing the dial cord after replacing some fuse lamps on this set. Turns out my Marantz 2270 isn't quite the same as is pictured in the Service Manuals' pictorial diagram.

The S.M. is for a Marantz 2270 that has different parts. My set allows operation on either 117 or 220 Volt AC lines and has a Phono 1 and Phono 2 input while the S.M. unit only has a 117 Volt transformer and only one Phono input.

So does anyone have an alternate dial cord string diagram ???

tnx,

Steven

I've run into a variety of dial cord layouts because I collect old tube radios. For me, it has been most effective to visualize the path and use thick thread to string it, connecting each end in the middle of the travel with a small spring to hold tension.
