I've always liked Genesis better with Phil Collins as the lead singer, but I wasn't aware of them when they first came onto the scene, so other than Sledgehammer, I mostly know Peter Gabriel as a solo artist.

I'm steadily working my way through my Pink Floyd collection. Some of my records are scratched, which must've happened while they were loaned out. Quite annoying.

I got Naked out yesterday. Felt refreshing. The Talking Heads last studio album. Overall I think, their best. Though their early 80's Speaking In Tongues probably had the most charted songs on it. A close runner up for me. Love the cover, always makes me feel like a monkeys uncle. Who ain't.

A good day today. Good grub bubbling on the stove, and a platter party making everything right. An album I haven't played in years was The Pretenders, Learning To Crawl. Always had a thing for that skanky Chrissie Hynde. Fine song writer and distinctive voice. Some Jazz with venerable sax man Ben Webster blowing Soulville. Then getting down with Jazz from the mother country. Fela Kuti, the Nigerian Afrobeat activist chastising the Nigerian regime in the 70's. Fela Kuti, No Agreement. Ending up with some good old reggae by Joseph Hill and his group Culture. Album called PayDay.

The last 7 songs on my Personal Favorites channel on You Tube:

Open Road
Can't Stay Away
Both by Keifer Sutherland (Yes, THAT Keifer Sutherland)

The Pretenders/Hymn To Her and 2000 Miles
The Eagles/Learn To Be Still. Live Hell Freezes Over Version
Don Henley/Bramble Rose ft. Miranda Lambert and Mick Jagger
Govt. Mule/Soulshine

None of these fit in any of my other channels, they all sound good together, so why not?

Been going through a lot of music that hasn't been played in decades.

Last night it was Vangelis. Listened to both China and Antarctica with the volume up a bit as they are well recorded and dynamic. Nice evening.

My Pink Floyd list on Spotify. It's heavy on the David Gilmour era Pink Floyd with splashes of The Wall and Dark Side. I have Cymbaline too from the Syd Barrett days.
