I recommend cabinets between 0.75ft3 and 1.5ft3 tuned to 50-60Hz for the Alpha 8. A box up to 2.0ft3 can be used with an EBS alignment.

Thanks. That's quite a range of box volumes and tuning frequencies to play with. One thing I've learned is that it's easier to make an overly large box smaller than it is to stretch one to make it bigger:)

Wouldn't it be fun next May to have several Studio One Pi tower volume and tuning variations available for a side-by-side comparison with each other and with the standard Studio One Pi enclosure. I'll volunteer to bring the 1.3 cu ft version.

That's a great idea. I'll bring the 1.0ft3 model.

1 cu ft? I thought the standard one-pi was 0.70 cu ft. How did you end up with an oversized PI?

Yes, it's one cubic foot. The cabinet dimensions are 18.5" x 12.5" x 8.5". It's been that way for many years, literally decades. The little one π cabinet has been a π Speakers "staple" for a long time, since way before the current version Alpha 8 has been around. Fortunately, Eminence has always made a compatible 8" midwoofer that worked well for the one π loudspeaker.
