I notice that the price is 979.00 euros for the kit. Anyone know off hand how much a euro is in U.S. currency? I was thinking it was well over a dollar or two, but I'm probably confusing with a English Pound.

That's almost 1150.00 Right now I am using my old Audion 2 way SS crossover on the Altecs with the Chip amps. I know you were interested in the amps so let me say they sound damned good this way. I don't see why you could'nt build a SS xover, Is there a scematic on the Elliots audio site, I believe so, and I think he provides a PC board but I am not sure on that. Steve Bench still offers the 6922 boards, I just checked. Boy these chip amps are fun.

Thanks for the info guys, I,m afraid $1100.00 isn't in my crossover budget. I'll be looking for the solid state varieties, I am emailing the fellow refered to on bench's site about the existence of any more boards. I'll check elliots site as well. The currency calculator is quite handy as well!

I built an 18db, 1200Hz fixed crossover to use with the JBL
3766's (or was that 3677's) for rather cheap. I used schematics bits
from The OpAmp Cookbook by Jung. I stuck an active balance control on each the inputs so I make the efficiency (high, low) adjustments.
It's hooked up to a Klipsch 4.1 amp out of a computer speaker set.
That give me another high/low adjustment. The whole thing isn't
half bad. The amp is pretty cheap, so its noisy, but its all
in the garage, so its a damn nice shop system.

When $$ are an issue, line level passive is a cheap way to get into multi-amping:
