I don't know how close the 2226's would be physically to each other, but with the 4648 cabinets there is a destructive interference at 817hz which means crossing over below 800hz. Since you are running the midhorn starting at around 300hz, I would say you would be pretty safe there. What crossover are you using for the pair of 2226's? Single coil won't cut it as the 2226 is a high inductance driver, might need a 2nd order here????? Maybe Wayne will chime in on this! Ron

Bill, I was trying to poke fun at you about the size of the speakers. It was late, I was tired and didn't do a very good job. BTW, what's with the recent quest for large speakers. There was a recent interest in A7's. Wayne's building his 12-PI. And now you're looking at a six-footer. My 5 cu ft cabinets are starting to look like bookshelves.

Hi Bill, Here's my current setup. It's similar to what you are proposing. I'd be interested in going vertical with it, in a wmttw arrangement. I've been toying around with the idea of replacing the 2226's with a single 2245, though the dual 2226's sound phenomenal with a little tweaking from the Richter Scale III e.q. I'm running 2123's in the midhorns, 2426's on the 2370's and 2404's up top. The three horns are powered by Paraglow II's with cobalt trannies and Mundorf Silver & Oil caps as well as the usual little mods. Woofers get solid state. It's about the best I've heard, including the big rigs at MAF O3'. Please keep me posted on the status of the project. I'd be interested in what you and Wayne come up with. Jerrod

Thanks Wayne, It loaded okay with my computer so I didn't consider the file linking issue with yahoo. You have some experience with the 2245 woofers. What do you think about the a single 2245 vs. a pair of slightly equalized 2226's? Thanks for your help along the way, many of your ideas were implemented in this build. The end result was better than I could have expected! Jerrod
