If I am not wrong, for those like me who want to cover the range 80-2000Hz, the 8 PI seems to be a smart solution since your midhorn works better on the range 200-2000... If yes, what about using a JBL 2012 within the 8 PI ?

The JBL 2012 does not have the correct electro-mechanical parameters for the eight π, but it sure is nice in the π midhorn. The rear chamber needs to be much smaller for the JBL 2012 if you intend to use it at low frequency.
OK Wayne, I see. My 30Ws work well up to 80Hz, not beyond. So what do you suggest to fill the gap between 80Hz and your Pi midhorn ? Your 8Pi is so attractive...and I think about the high efficiency E-V DL10X but I'm afraid it's too close to the 2012H. Or the TAD TL-1102 ?

I'll bet the EV driver works very well in the π midhorn, certainly worth a try. As for the 30W, I think it could be used to augment the system as a subwoofer instead of being used as the primary woofer. Or you could simply build a larger midhorn to go with it and shift all the crossover points down.
