I finally built the proper crossover for the 16 ohm 806A's and 2226J's...

....so I decided to remove the 811B's that had been dormant with the Woodhorns on top of the cabinets....

....and put the Woodhorns where they belong....

I moved the cross down from 1600 to 1200 Hz which is more Model 19-like and pulled the speakers out from the corners. The image is now more stable and a lot deeper. The caps have to burn so I'm reserving judgement for awhile but hopefully this is an improvement and not just another change.
Note how the horns are pushed out of the cabinet and would be pushed out further if I had some tripods!

That "torroidal" looking item in your crossover must be those foil inductors you told me about. Looks like some expensive parts in them. I guess i will have to make the trip up north to hear your speakers again!
