On the eminence website, they say the recommended enclosure volume for the alpha 8 is 1.1 to 1.8 cf. Your design is 1 cf for the external dimension of the cabinet, so maybe its .8 or.9 cf for the internal volume. Why go with a smaller box than recommended? and How does the alpha 8 sound in a 1.8 cf cabinet?

Hello Wayne, i can confirm. I use the alpha 8 in an enclosure with 41 liters (i´m from germany, we don´t use ft, but it is about 1.35 cu ft.) But i tuned it to 42 Hz. (2ports 10cm/9cm dia/lenght) It sounds great with my fostex fe 103 for the mid-/high-range. Try it!! Regards Andreas
