hi wayne,

i understand that the 2445J is 16 ohm, can i really use them with a 8 ohm woofer in a two way?

Certainly, the 2445 can be used, but it is a 2" exit compression driver, so it isn't a direct replacement for the 2426. You'll need a different horn flare, but it will work just fine. You'll have more crossover options since you can run the HF horn lower but it won't have quite as high frequency extension using the larger device.

About 16 ohm drivers, there is some re-work of the 8 ohm version of the crossover necessary (obviously) but it isn't nearly as much as I would have thought. Check out the post called "16 ohm vs 8 ohm drivers"
