I'm thinking of building some 4 pi-18 Stage series since I already have 2 psd3003's sitting around. I don't have 36" below my projection screen for a matching centre channel. Can I modify the box dimensions so it is no more than 26" high or should I just go with a 4-pi(if I go this route will the psd2002 sonically match the psd3003?).

thanks everyone.

Certainly, you can modify the dimensions. Since you already have a pair of PSD3003's, I think you should use them. They are very sweet in the upper mids, but they don't hit the top octave. You'll find that PSD2002's have much more sparkle, but shouldn't be used in the midrange at all. They're for the vocal overtone range up.
