You aren't using the second 5687. I suspect you're going to try 12B4 sooner or later aren't you? Good move IMO, but I would not throw a 5687 out ov bed either.

The regulated linestage you heard in MD now has an RK34 amplifier valve. Two anode caps, mu of 13, and an 816-ish bottle. It looks quite cool.
regards,
Douglas

Yes I set out to go with 12b4's as I always end up with more gain than I need. But you all caught me at a week moment with the transformer. I was just finishing my trials with the $12 Allied. when you were ploting this one, so I bought one, then well I have some 87's in the bin. what the hell group build sounds like fun.
The rectifer is a 6by5 and i have not listened to it yet. The wallwart I got at the thrift shop is dead...John

I don't see the resistor R1 (1k) off the potentiometer. Am I just missing it or is not there?.....Colin

R1 is a grid stopper, on reflection I will probably add it.
They are not strictly necessary but are good isurance against oscillation
I left out R5, I think the amp will be sufficient load...John
