Anyone know of a product that will bond copper to MDF? Would Gorilla glue work?.....Colin

It should but it has that creeping foam shit thing that it does.
Better to use 2 part epoxy: JBWeld, etc. Only drawback is black glue line. Powdered urea formaldehyde aka Resorcinol dries brown, works almost as well but known to cause .......but only if you use it in Calif or N.J.

You could use 3M 5200. It's mostly used in marine applications but bonds anything to anything for ever. comes in a metal tube like calk and is expensive. Like Bill said exoxy would be a good choice too.

Smooth-On might work well. I've used it to bond metal sleeves of takedown bows to the wood riser sections. A lot more stresses involved in that situation than most. Also, MT-13 might work.

I've used the MT-13 resin epoxy to glue on metal takedown sleeves for Cherokee style archery bows and it is a great, water proof glue. Very, very strong.

What I call Smooth-On is thier standard PC-3 epoxy. You can use it as is and let it cure under clamping pressure for 24 hours which is what I've done, but a lot of guys use them for gluing fiberglass laminates under heat and pressure (cures quicker) when making fiberglass recurve bows. It will leave a black-brown line. This is an epoxy you can probably get locally if you live in a good size city.

They are both great glues.

E6000 craft glue. It is sold in craft shops and Walmart craft dept. It is described by the mfg as a "SBR adhesive". Styrene Butadyene Rubber. It is clear. It has a slight flex, much firmer than silicone glues, but not brittle like epoxy.
