I'm trying to gather the resources locally to create a woodworking shop for the clientelle of a treatement centre for sexually abused men(I'm on the board of directors and volunteer a bunch of my time). If anyone has done something similar and has any documentation it would be appreciated. For example:
Workshop layouts
Tool Lists
Stock Lists
Safety equipment/requirements

thanks
craig.

Taunton Press has a pretty impressive line of handyman books. I just ordered one on basement remodeling by them from Amazon.....Colin

Do you have a VOC-ED school nearby? I bet a visit with a video camera would answer a lot of questions.

Did you check out the owners of the shop and the other pictures of their projects? Seems the wife is quite a skilled lathe turner. Check out the picture of her pushing wood on the table saw.

Think about it: how could a guy ever get such a cool shop w/o the wife giving the OK? He couldn't. Now if she were allowed in, then......

Like I said, hell of a woman.....Colin

Notice the 'stop' is clamped to the fence in front of the blade. As the workpiece is pushed on the mitre bar into the blade the off cut won't be trapped between blade and fence.
