Actually, not me specifically, but my dog. I got myself a can of tung oil for the birch plywood One-Pi I built, and right there on the can is the old skull & crossbone poison symbol. I'm not going to feed the stuff to my dog, but she does have a habit of going around sniffing and licking things.

After I use the tung oil rub on my cabinet, how long should I let it dry before I can have it out? Will the poison "go away" after the oil is dried?

Gar.

The poison is in the solvent, not the pigment, so once it's totally hard to the touch it's safe. You can use Tung to season wood cutting boards, although there are other products specifically for that and finishing wooden bowls.

Carly thanks you (nt) [message #29071 is a reply to message #29070] Tue, 27 April 2004 15:14 Go to previous messageGo to next message
