Hello everyone.
I have a Peavey Valve king (100w) and I just got a 2x12" cab with no speakers. I'm thinking about purchasing 2xCelestion G12 Rockdriver Pro (8ohms each)but I'm confused about how to wire them up. As I undertand, if I wire them in series, I need to set my amp to 16ohms and if I do it in parallel, set up the amp to 4ohms right?
But what I'd like to know from more experienced people is which way is better, considering that I play some heavy Rock and like my sound "FAT" and that I don't use solos that much...
I'm inclined to go for parallel but I've read in some website that if I want more brightness in my sound I should use parallel and vice-versa. Is this true?
Thanks

Either method is fine provided your amplifier has output taps for it.
