Hey!
I'm having some problems with my 8040. Recently I noticed that every 20 to 30 seconds or so, there is a big volume dip. It lasts for maybe 2 or 3 seconds, then the volume goes back to its normal level. I replaced the pre-amp tube but the problem didn't go away.

Any ideas?

thanks

How does that socket look? You might clean all the contacts. If they get dirty or corroded it will make it do that.
