Hi Ive got a problem. I have a pignose B 100-v bass amplifier and its very nice. Just one problem. It picks up radio stations and this is extremeley annoying for recording and for practicing. What could the problem be? and what is the solution?
First try to change guitar cabel, if problem persists see the input jack, and re-tighten it. Then - use shielded cabel from input jack to the electronics (shield grounding on the input end). Even adding a small cap (few tens of pF) on the input isn`t eliminated in extreme cases.
Reminds me of the other guitarist we had in our band. His Marshall JCM800 would pick up all sorts of stuff at weird times. CB's, radio stations, you name it. Not all the time though, but always at the same gig spots. Once in between songs during a set when it was slient for a second or two this radio preacher all of a sudden comes blaring out of his amp through the PA system "eggs are the devil's ping-pong balls", whatever that was supposed to mean. Everybody just kinda looked at each other like what the hell! We all got a big chuckle out of that one.
