Hello! I am posting this to anyone who would know about this Philco console. It is a beautiful console with an AM/FM tuner behind a door on the front. The top opens to a turntable for records. The words Stereophonic High Fidelity Phonoroma VI are on the front. This piece was my grandfather's & I would like to restore it for my mom.
Thank you in advance for any direction you can point me. Jeannine

Those old console stereos usually have turntables with idler wheels and ceramic cartridges. They aren't hifi or even midfi for that matter, but they're aces and spades on nostalgia. If you restore it nicely and make sure it works well, it's a conversation piece you can be proud of. Turn it on from time to time and think how many years it has played music and news for your grandfather, and let the years of memories stay with your mom. That's the real value.
