I just noticed on the pcX site that Rubycon has agreed to resume (continue?) production of Black Gate capacitors. I am very happy to hear that, although Rubycon is starting to sound like a broken record. If those caps weren't so darn good, we'd all be complaining Rubycon cries wolf much too often.    But it is great news.

I bought some 47uF 35v parts (or thereabouts) maybe 6 months ago, and they were just a couple bucks each. About the same for polarized and non-polarized parts. So while they were more expensive than other electrolytics, they weren't as expensive as polypropylene caps. But when you get up into the high voltage values, I guess that's where they get expensive.
