Hello I wonder if any one can help me, I have recently got hold of my Dad's old hi fi system an old Marantz turntable and a 6100 amp with which he has always used a pair of Monitor audio speakers, the label on the back says MA7 S/N 6012 Can anyone shed any light on these for me. Are they good speakers or would I be able to buy better modern speakers, and are they suitable with the setup mentioned thanks for your time guys.

Mike

HI Mike,
They made decent speakers. IF they are in good condition (surrounds, etc) then they should sound good. Will they be as good as current speakers? Hmmm, it depends on which current speakers you are talking about, and how they are built, and how the overall system is setup.
