i have a couple of bad ceramic caps on an old tube magnavox radio these are on the pc board can i replace thme with silver mica or a poly propylene caps or do they have to be ceramic...thanks

I don't recall ever seeing those old ceramics go bad. They have small capacitance values and you can replace them with anything as long as the capacitance and voltage values are right.
