Just looking for some opinions on the performance of the 3.6's using various types of amplification. I am currently using the 1.6QR's on a Music Reference tube amp. I heard the 3.6's recently while on business in Denver. They had them being driven by the ARC VT-100 MKIII. I have to say that it was very, very sweeeeet. I am about ready to trade up to the 3.6, but before I do, I want to get some opinions of those who have them regarding amplifier matching.

Do you know if there are there any popular DIY options for large planar or electrostatic speakers? I realize that isn't what you were looking for, but I also know you're familiar with planars and electrostats.
