I was just wondering if anyone has used the JBL 2240H 18" driver for midbass duty similiar to how the 2226 is used in the 4 pi-pro series?

According to winisd I have come up with 5 cubic ft box tuned to 50hz for a -3 db @ 52hz.

If anyone can comment on this I would appreciate it!

Response down to approx 50hz would be required!

Regards, Ron

The only problem I see is you'd have to lower the x-over freq. where it crosses over to the midrange, for proper DI matching between the 18 and midrange.

Appreciate the info on the Di factor and crossover level. I already have that factored in the process.

What I was looking for is to see if anyone has tried a different box/tuning with this driver, and what the results were.

These will most likely be used in a pair of JBL L200 cabs and used in corners for further room reinforcement.
