Could someone place a rubber gasket over the threads of a compression driver to alter the extent it goes into its horn throat ? What would this do to the sound ? Would it change it, and if so, which way ? Of course, one could only move the driver "back" from its throat, and go too far, it falls out. Ever try this ? An old roadie says they used to do it ?

-Is when small dimensions are involved, like a few mm more spacing than normal- are HF muckups and reflections ruining the tiny[high frequency]waves ! Actual experience and changes in the sound character, perhaps some one can comment on. Cheers Mike.e
