I had to.
2226 in the car of my hatchback with 120watts(350w plate amp,one input only so -3db, into 8ohm)

Makes me appreciate normal room environment, the cabin rattles were wicked!

needless to say,the poor RS meter (126db) was having the needle hammered to its stops easily ,especially on 30hz hahah!

had some fun

CD Sine.(non calibrated RS meter measurements)(=+3db at 50hz , and +5db at 30hz???)

80hz +0db
70hz +6db
60hz +6db
50hz +1db
40hz +4.5db
30hz +6db
20hz -18db !

my jbl page (from index) shows the ebs response.

Pretty damn good down to 30Hz. Lots of cabin gain down there. You probably have the speaker cabinet tuned for 30Hz to 40Hz, so I wouldn't expect much below that even with boost. But then again, even if the system were hitting hard below 30Hz, the meter response is probably way down at that low frequency.

Now that I think about it, this is all academic. That 2226 is excellent, definitely better quality than most of the boom-boom subs in cars. And at 600 watts capacity, even though it's tuned for 40Hz, I kinda doubt you're lacking for bass. Better be careful with your windows!

its my 33hz tuned box ;-)

im be scared to use anymore power,i had ringing ears, and thats with 90db main speakers!

it certainly was fun..interesting too, cabin gain curves etc,il investigate that sometime in more depth..

Il really appreciate it in my house now, lack of rattles! hehe
what would really be interesting,is if a F3 40hz basshorn for the jbl(which will fit) could produce 10db more output(which it does in the house but not necessarily in the car)

:-)
