Parts express has a close out deal on some JBL SUB 1500 drivers. a custom job it looks like JBL made for a while. ANyone know anything about the performance on this driver other than it should be good ?

Don't know anything about it, but it looks very nice. Not too bad at $250 for an 18mm xmax JBL driver.

It looks like a very solid 25hz from a 4 cubic foot box. Not too shabby for 20" cube. At 4ohms with a 250 watt plate amp or nice solid state amp I think it will keep up with the higher efficiency speakers. 20" cube would be a great stand for a 4Pi to help get them up off the floor.

I see that you have fall down behind the cabinet. did you trip on the wire? It appears to have attacked you whil in rout to the fridge.
