My manual calls for denatured alcohol to clean the heads. Does anyone know where to get some of this or is there something else to use that will do the job and not damage anything?

Go to your local Walgreens and buy some 90% rubbing alcohol. That's what you need. There is also 70% alcohol but buy the 90% bottle.
