Is there a correlation between platter speed and sound quality? I expect the faster speeds would be able to make better sound quality. In practice, however, I notice 33s sound better than 45s and 45s sound better than 78s. I understand 78s are made with other materials and recorded with ancient equipment. 45s and 33s were made at the same time though so why do LPs usually sound better?
