What's your preference between the two? Pedal tuners are said to be more accurate, but I honestly don't believe there's much difference between the two, and I've used both kinds. Clip-on tuners are much cheaper and easier to use, in my opinion, so that's what I lean towards. I'd go for a Peterson over anything.
I'm no expert, but I don't believe people use pedal tuners much these days, unless it's for a professional performance. They're too cumbersome for regular use. I'm not a musician, so I have no preference.
