I tried to practice this morning and it just sounded weird. It is so hot and humid today the tuning's off. I've never had that happen before. What other unexpected sound problems can come up? Is it just pianos that get hit by the heat?

I only know there's going to be sound problems during windy days. During humid times, however, playing wind instruments for long hours would tire you quickly if the room isn't air-conditioned.

Hi, my understanding is that any instrument made of wood or something with non-metalic strings can be affected by changes in humidity. Large temperature swings can mess some up as well.

Good Listening
