Hi everybody!

I am considering to use jantzen silver-Z caps and jantzen wax coils in the 4pi crossover (JBL 2226H and BC250) but I have some doubts.
For the 20uF, can I use the 22uF value or it is better to use two 10uF in parallel?
Is it possible to use wax coil? I was thinking about 12AWG.

About resistors, I intend to use Mundorf M-Resist HL 4x33Ohm in parallel. Should I put them offboard? or Would it be better to use the alluminium chasis type?

Thnak you very much in advance.

Best regards
JM

Jantzen caps are really nice. We offer two different Jantzen flavors in the speakers, kits and crossovers we sell. As for the locations that require 20uF, we install 22uF in those positions when using Jantzen components.

The resistors can be mounted off-board, if you want. We do that with the Zobel resistor, but mount the R1/R2 resistors on the board.

As for coils, generally, the bigger the better. I think you get to a poingt of diminishing returns at 15 guage, because measurements don't show any difference. But it can't hurt to go bigger. Just always use air-core coils.
