Hi Wayne,

I noticed on the new version of the 4pi cross-over schematic that the tweeter is marked as 16 ohms. I wanted to confirm that with you (before I actually buy some Rolling Eyes).

Thanks again,

David

No, the tweeter is 8Ω. The part you're referring to is Rs, which is a 16Ω, 10W resistor placed in shunt across the compression driver.

Thanks Wayne,

I was just coming back on to say I looked at the schematic again and realized that there was a new part there. Also, I see a couple posts down you told someone you use the DE 250-8. :~

Speaking of Ohms, I'm finally, with a lot of help from Professor Brown, building the 50 Watt Monoblocks. The 5K Hammond 1650R OPTs have 4, 8 and 16 Ohm taps. My 4 Pi 2226Js, are 16 Ohm and the DE-250s, as the OP discovered, are 8.

I'm going to have 8 and 16 Ohm outputs, which is best for the 4 Pis? I'd hate to lose 33% of the Wattage with too low an impedance.

If the midwoofer is 16Ω, I'd probably choose the 16Ω tap.
