As much as we used to love the old shows that ran when we were kids, would we actually watch them if they just came out today? I can't imagine that "Mr. Ed", a show about a talking horse, would catch anyone's interest today.

I agree, today's kids would never sit still for my beloved Captain Kangaroo. However, I think adults do watch the old shows on rerun channels like Nick at Nite, TV Land, TBS, and USA Network.
If at first you don't succeed, go back and do it the way Mother told you to.
