That's the thing about Musak isn't it? It isn't annoying until you notice it. What really makes my skin crawl though is listening to the Musak version of a Motley Crue song.

I don't really notice it to much unless it happens to be playing a song my kids like. They have been known to start singing along in the elevator.
What I hate more than Musak is hold music that is constantly interrupted by a message that they will be getting to me in the order in which my call was taken. I would actually rather listen to the music because I can tune that out while I work. Every time the music stops I think it is going to be a person and then it is just the same recording telling me they will be getting to me. Not every company does this, but I find it annoying.
