We just bought a new Home theater for a basement (finished). I would really like to place the speakers on the back wall and the TV/stereo on the front wall. Is this possible? Would you recommend doing this?

Let's chat!

Hi, I suspect others may have definitive data on this, but the issue will be that the video will be in front of you and the sound behind. It will probably be rather bizarre. Rolling Eyes Dialog and such will be wild. In a typical HT set up there will always be front speakers. They are necessary for you ears and eyes to work together and identify and match action with sound. From the basic two speakers you can add more (center, sub-woofer, rear left and right, and go on to mid-wall left and right and center rear) the number of channels only depends on the original source material (DVD etc) and the hardware you use to play it.

Good Listening
