Do you think television manufacturers will ever attempt to further improve on the current standard for high-definition TVs? I don't really think it's necessary, but then again I was happy with 720p for a while too.

I don't know when it'll be, but I'm sure that eventually there will be a higher HD standard. How else can they convince us that our current TVs suck? Wink

From a marketing view I suspect there will be something higher. They did try 3d and so far it is a non-starter. Rolling Eyes A significant problem with be resistance from cable companies. More resolution means more bandwidth and I am sure they don't want to go to the expense if they can fleece us just fine now. Mad Some don't even do the 1080 as is. I find that the 1080 is really just fine on out 55 incher. More would probably not make a difference. There is a problem with source material as well. I'm sure some is done in higher resolutions, but a lot is not. Conversion from older film is likely to not be any higher either.

Good Listening
