We're in the market for a new TV because as it stands now, all our TVs are ancient, lol. Now that we're shopping, we're seeing all these terms that we're unfamiliar with, like LED, LCD and Plasma, for example. What's the difference? Which is best?

We have an LED LCD TV and like it. The LED aspect is great because it's more energy efficient and the back-lighting is more distributed than non-LED. LCDs are thinner than plasma and have a longer life.
